Surface Finish is one of the most important factors when it comes to ordering material or following a specification. Due to the wide variety of effects different surface finishes can have, it should never be loosely defined or left up to interpretation. The easiest way to achieve this is to identify surface finish via the standard industry designation or the proprietary designation.
